This yunomi was fired in the Pleasant Hill anagama. It is made of a porcelain clay that I developed at Utah State University and contains chunks for granite and basalt that I collected and crushed up.

The glaze on the interior is a jun style glaze made with Devil’s Playground granite from Utah.

The firing duration was 108 hours and 8 minutes. This means that the crew is putting wood in the kiln for 5 days and nights! We used lots of hardwood and Doug fir. I love the surface that resulted from this process. Every pot that comes out of this kiln is unique and could never be replicated.

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. They are made with stoneware clay and fired to cone 10, which is about 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.

I ship internationally quite often; this is no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It is hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For international orders, I will contact you if there is a big difference in the shipping cost after I ship the pots.

I typically ship with USPS or UPS and send tracking information after posting each order.
