Espresso mug from the nut kiln chronicles
This pot was fired in the train kiln at Pleasant Hill Pottery. It got a nice blast of wood ash which interacted with the glaze in a very pleasing manner. I love how this chun glaze eats up wood ash. I developed this glaze in grad school and it still delights me.
It was one of the pots that got covered in soot during the nut kiln chronicles. I washed it laboriously by hand rather than burning the soot off. I only saved a few pots like this because it took so long to clean them up. But it means that you can see all the soot in the crazing marks. It is a rare and unusual pot!

Dimensions: Approximately 2.5” tall by 3” wide

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I make them with stoneware clay and fire until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.
I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.
I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For these international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.
