Dry flower vase
I made this kurinuki vase at Pleasant Hill Pottery in Oregon.
It was made with from a solid block of clay from Tacoma Clay Arts called white rose. It was fired in the anagama kiln at Pleasant Hill for over 110 hours with a mixture of hard and soft wood. I love this surface that resulted.
The wood ash glaze is well developed an the piece has a lot of variation all around it.
Full disclosure, this piece was made as a solid piece and then cut it in half to hollow it out-this resulted in it not being water tight. I filled it with water and it leaks. So this is a vase for dry flowers or a sulpture unto its own.

Dimensions: Approximately 11” tall x 4” wide

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I make them with stoneware clay and fire until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.
I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.
I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For these international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.
