From my collection: Mark Hewitt serving dish

$175.00

This is a pot made by my mentor Mark Hewitt. it is a lovely serving dish that he made whilst I was there.

The surface of this pot is decorated with cadmium stains under a granite based celadon glaze. Mark spent a few firings making more colorful work like this but not so much since. I love the shape of this bowl too.

It is perfectly weighted and looks great with food in it.

Full disclosure… I have used this! It was in my personal collection. I did wash it though before listing it though. I think pots improve with age and use, like a good pair of jeans, (unless you drop them) so consider it partially worn in.

Dimensions: Approximately 3” tall x 10” wide

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I make them with stoneware clay and fire until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.

I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.

I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For these international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.

Thanks! I promise I don’t email often. I should email more but frankly it just isn’t as fun as making pots or drinking tea.

Thank you!
