From my collection: Mark Hewitt mug
This is a pot made by my mentor Mark Hewitt. It is a nice mug that he made whilst I was apprenticing for him.
The surface of this pot is decorated with cadmium stains under a granite based celadon glaze. Mark spent a few firings making more colorful work like this but not so much since. I love the shape of this bowl too.
It is perfectly weighted (quite light) and the handle is very comfy to hold.
Full disclosure… I have used this! It was in my personal collection. I did wash it though before listing it though. I think pots improve with age and use, like a good pair of jeans, (unless you drop them) so consider it partially worn in.
This pot did touch another one in the kiln… a kiss we potters like to call it. So the handle has the scar of this encounter. It is not bad though and does not affect the function of the mug at all.

Dimensions: Approximately 5” tall x 3.5” wide

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I make them with stoneware clay and fire until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.
I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.
I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For these international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.
