North Carolina Teabowl

$145.00
Sold Out

I made this teabowl in my shed studio in Chapel Hill and fired at my friend Lara O’Keefe’s kiln.

The clay is the first blend I ever made from wild clays that I collected and the glaze is a local granite glaze I made. It has iron decoration brushed on the surface. This went metallic in the firing. Quite nice!

I have used this for tea. it has a lovely feel to it. The shape was inspired by those made by Ray Finch. He ran Winchcombe Pottery for years and is a hero of mine.

Dimensions: Approximately 3.5” tall x 4.25” wide

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I make them with stoneware clay and fire until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.

I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.

I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For these international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.

Thanks! I promise I don’t email often. I should email more but frankly it just isn’t as fun as making pots or drinking tea.

Thank you!
